This image was taken from Ansel Adams' Overlook of the Snake River very early on a chilly fall morning. As the atmosphere began to burn off, a distinct line began to form between the blue backdrop and the lavender cloud cover. The Snake River was not visible due to the immense fog lifting off as the air was much cooler than the water temperature. I was very fortunate as this was the first morning I photographed this area. An amazing morning indeed !
