Located near Lolo, Montana on the beautiful Bitterroot River and home of Traveller's Rest
(Lewis and Clark journal spelling). This is one of only two locations on the Lewis and Clark Trail
where they have found physical proof of the Corps of Discovery. The expedition stayed near here on
the way to the Pacific and on the return trip as well. They rested here for several days before
their journey over the treacherous Bitterroot Mountains through Lolo Pass.
